A quick summary of the past year....

It's been over a year since I last posted- wow! I am really slacking! Let's get caught up....

A year in review.... I have had martial ups and downs and I was ready to seriously call it quits but I'm glad I didn't.  Things are definitely in the positive now and my husband has been continuously proving himself. It's like we're back to how we were in the beginning. I am definitely loved!
My oldest 2 children have completed another whole school year and I'm proud to say with flying colors. My oldest daughter will be starting 3rd grade and I plan to have her tested for the gifted program at her teacher's insistence. My son lost his Autism diagnosis!  He had his redetermination evaluation and no longer qualifies for the Autism diagnosis or has a need for therapy anymore. Now it's just ADHD and ODD as well as finding out he is a gifted child with what they call "very superior intelligence" with a 142 IQ score... My youngest has blossomed in preschool as well and is starting to catch up with her speech. Kids get so big so quickly!
Business has been well and I hope it continues! My headcounts increased, I hired an assistant and I am currently in the process of becoming officially licensed. We are in our summer program now and I'm having to turn parents away and I have multiple parents reserving spots for the upcoming school year in August.
My grandmother passed away last month, a month ago tomorrow. This has been very difficult as I was close with her and she was always a huge part of my life growing up. It still seems surreal....

I inherited all of my grandmother's craft supplies and lets just say she was a bit of a hoarder.
She was a seamstress her whole life and loved crafting. I am not done sorting through everything but there is about 20+ boxes of just fabrics and yarn to go through. I already put the word out and once I am caught up with things around here, I am hosting a big charity event where other moms in town will be coming over to make quilts and crochet hats and blankets, etc... With the materials and yarn to donate to local cancer centers in my grandmother's honor. I'm really excited about this as she had asked that I find good use for it and I couldn't think of anything better especially since she was a multiple cancers survivor and supported cancer cure research, even participating in Relay for Life in her last couple of years.

More recently, my family has been hit hard with one thing after the next. We find ourselves trying to play catch up again. We have had a couple of dental emergencies, trips to the urgent cares, a couple of blown tires, a broken windshield, car issues, washer and drier went out and a plumbing leak causing us to have to cut open our ceiling... Throw in the long nights I spent at the hospital and hospice, missing work to fly out of state for a funeral causing me to miss pay; Let's just say when it rains, it pours....
Trying to stay positive though. I managed to score an amazing deal on a pair of energy efficient front loading washer and drier on pedestals for only $250.00 total.  A lady around the corner posted them on Facebook as she was moving and wanted them gone over the weekend. And the plumbing leak was fixed. We just have to fix the ceiling. And my car is in the shop as I write this getting fixed.

Life has been hectic, fun, hard, surprising, renewing, tear jerking and I'm not perfect but I am trying to live it as honestly and fully as possible. Happy I have the support of my family and friends...
