Am I a B*tch?

I was just thinking about something my husband told me that made me smile....

One night about a month ago, I stopped at Little Ceasers on my way home to grab a cheese pizza for dinner since we needed to go grocery shopping. They were really busy, probably because of some game on tv or something and so when I ordered the clerk informed me it would be just a couple of minutes as they were making more cheese pizzas and they would be coming out of the oven soon.

No biggie, so I took a seat to wait. While sitting there, one of the guys who were also waiting on their pizza decided to try and talk to me and made what I though was a lame joke, "You should go yell at her since the sign says peperoni and cheese pizzas are always ready to go..." referring to the cashier.

Not seeing the humor in the joke I just replied, "They are busy, no biggie..."

And then I got a response I was not prepared for. In the most defensive-serious tone the guy replies "That was a joke! You know, haha, a joke..." and then turned away as if I was just the biggest b*tch he had ever met....

I was totally taken back! What did I do wrong to piss this guy off so badly?!? The joke wasn't really funny and I was polite in my response... Am I really that cold? Really that b*tchy that I offend total strangers who are just trying to make chit-chat while waiting in line?

Luckily my pizza was ready and I could leave. The whole way home I kept running the scenario through my head and questioning myself, the way I responded, the tone in my voice and I was completely stooped as to why he reacted the way he did towards me.

Once home, I told my husband about what happened. "Have I really become such a cold, b*tchy person that I am now offending total strangers without realizing it because I can't take a joke?"

My husband, having the most a-hole sarcasm in the world, which I LOVE, came back with "Instead of commenting on them being busy, you should of just said 'You're right! I should just go up and punch that b*tch in the face!!' and then see how he would of reacted...."
Though it is something I would never say, I couldn't help but laugh.

So my hubby has been out of town for over the last week and he won't be back for almost another week. I am going insane. I don't think he realizes how much we appreciate everything he does and that we do know how hard he works and all the things he does for us. It becomes apparent especially when he leaves. From a Preschool Teacher's Point of View - Things Parents Need to Teach Their Children During the Preschool Age

     I have been teaching preschool for a few years now and it astounds me how many children enroll in my class lacking so many basic skills that many would assume come naturally. I have had parents ask me what they can do to give their child a good boost in the right direction for success in school. I am proud to say that my students who have moved on to kindergarten each year, start school with a noticeable head start compared to their classmates not only academically but socially and majority start already blending letters, working on sight words and word families as well as starting basic addition and subtraction. Here are a few things that I feel, for the love of all things holy and for the sake of your child, that you should do as your child is a toddler and moves into preschool age. 1.    I am such an emotional train wreck right now I don't even know where to start.... Thursday I broke my back tooth while eating pizza. It is my own fault as I waited too long to have the cap put on after my root canal... I had to have an emergency root canal while pregnant with Lily and the root canal capped out my insurance so I was waiting until the new year rolled over to have the cap/crown put on but then I found out I was pregnant with Pelia in January. With it already being such a high risk pregnancy and all the other complications, I didn't want any dental work to cause more stress on the pregnancy so I waited even longer, and I guess I waited too long...
